Potter’s tales spring to life on Chatham stage
Magical adventures are in store for young children as Peter Rabbit and friends come to The Central Theatre in Chatham on Saturday 21 March.
Part of a major UK tour, this brand new production features a specially commissioned script based around Beatrix Potter’s classic Peter Rabbit books, and narrated by Barbara D’Alterio in the role of the famous author and illustrator. The emphasis will be firmly on fun and audience participation as a host of colourful costumed characters including Benjamin Bunny, Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and Jemima Puddle-Duck take the audience through the forest to Mr. McGregor’s garden –the one place Peter was told not to go.
The show’s producers, Premier Stage Productions have been touring children’s theatre across the UK since 1997. With the addition of new songs and a backdrop of beautiful scenery, their aim is to bring the famous books to life in a new an exciting way that will delight audiences of all ages.
The Tales of Peter Rabbit begins at 2.30pm and tickets cost £8 for adults, £7 for children, with a family ticket (two adults, two children) £28. To book contact the box office on 01634 338338 or visit www.medway.gov.uk/theatrebooking
