Matt and I with many Conservatives were out in force yesterday. We were doing the final work to get Tashi Bhutia as our new councillor for Luton and Wayfield. We had a nail biting finish. We had three re-counts and Tashi won by 4 votes.This was a fantastic win for the Conservatives as Luton and Wayfield was one of the five safest seats in Kent. There was a swing of over 11%.
We would like to welcome Tashi to the council and I know that Luton and Wayfield will have a very hard working councillor.

Thanks for the write-up and photos, Pat — and an extra thank-you for all the extra work you personally put in, especially organising the Telling at all four polling places and the running around on the day.
