Fly-Over To Re-Open

The fly-over in Chatham's new two way system is going to re-open to traffic. The time frame for the new road lay out is set to take place in approximately 4 weeks.
The Council did originally give the 'closed fly-over' scheme a 6 month trial period with a review to be taken after the time had elapsed.
After reviewing the situation and listening to local residents the Council have acted.
This is a positive move, it will hopefully make the traffic move more freely and it has demonstrated that the Council do listen to local residents views and concerns.

I drove through Chatham today and saw all the banners with "Don't vote Conservative" etc. and thought why don't you put some up beside them saying things like "Vote Labour if you want you right to protest and free speech banned" or "Vote Labour if you want a 5 year term in prison under their Harrassment Law for protests like this". The possibilities are endless.

Or why not get someone to take one of their banners saying "Don't Vote Conservative" up to Parliament Square and wander about with it until they get arrested for an illegal demonstration, (because they will, and in front of all the local TV and news cameras with a bit of luck).

People are very concious of the erosion of our freedoms under New Labour and will vote on it if it is brought to their attention regardless of whether it is a national or local issue.

New Labour keep handing the Conservatives an open goal but it never seems to be exploited.
